Every 2nd Saturday in August (rain or
shine)...This Year's Date is AUGUST 9th, 2008.
Welcome to the World Wide Web home of the World Hunger Auction! This
annual auction is currently in its 25th year! Each year, the auction and
associated fund-raising activities raise thousands of dollars to care for hungry
and homeless persons here and abroad. The fund raising activities
(including a hunger walk, bike ride and musical jamboree) culminate with the
World Hunger auction in August of each year. The auction includes the sale
of crafts, quilts, toys, furniture, plants, produce, baked and canned
goods, special services and much more.
Per
our name, our main goal is to feed the hungry of the world.
In that regard, here are some excerpts of gratitude from the three major
charities we have supported in previous years.

With fewer heart-wrenching stories of famine in the news, it is easy for
us to forget about the on-going crisis of hunger stalking millions of families

past year over 5,000 people have requested emergency assistance to prevent
evictions, prevent their utility cut-off or to pay for critical prescription

Providing animals in all sizes, from earthworms to elephants, HPI offers
families the means to generate their own food and income.

hungry of the world in 2008. We believe that although we cannot eliminate
